** Our most recent class was held on Oct 4, 11, and 18. The next class will likely be held in the fall of 2021 (or sooner based on level of interest).
Thank you for considering membership at Discovery! Whether you're just looking to know more about Discovery or are already interested in membership, we trust this class will be well worth your time. Membership is a practical tool we believe enhances our unity of spirit (Phil. 2:2), enables us to do thing decently and in order (1 Cor. 14:40), and equips us to serve more effectively (1 Pet. 4:10-11).
If you have not yet read our Membership brochure, please do so. If after viewing that, you believe God is leading you to research more and/or "take the next step," we invite you to take our informational-only Discovery Class. Simply click the green "Join " button at the top of this page so we know you're interested. (That will automatically sign you up and put you on the group email list which will be used weekly during the class.)
The class meets in person on Sunday afternoons during for 3 weeks (potentially 4, depending on how much the group would like to discuss). This is a great way to get to know the history of God's work at Discovery, what we teach, our direction for the future, and much more. It's also a great way to get to know others who are in the same boat as you! Young people who have grown up at Discovery are encouraged to take the class when they have been baptized and plan to join the church. (Note: this class is required for membership.)
The links below include our Membership Brochure, What We Teach documents (Statement of Faith, Constitution, etc) and Membership Application for you to view. If you have questions or would like to discuss membership more, you can contact me or Pastor Mark by phone/email, or just chat in person next time you see us. May God give you clear guidance as you consider this important step in your Christian faith.
** Our next class will take place in the fall of 2021 (or sooner based on level of interest).
After the Discovery Class is completed, another class is often offered that goes into more detail on doctrine called Foundations of Faith(taught by Pastor Mark). If you would like to further develop a solid doctrinal foundation, you might want to consider this class where you can ask questions and fill in the blanks about the major teachings of Scripture. Please contact us for more information.
